Note: The travel/training approval process has been brought in-house and is now powered by FellowsCentral. Bringing the form into FellowsCentral allows the process to be supported by our robust Salesforce integration. This allows for real-time updates and removes the need for another login. Below are the instructions for using this new system.
1. Review the notification email
When your fellow submits a travel/training approval request, you will receive an email notification containing all the details of the request. Towards the bottom will be a unique URL that will take you to your mentor approval form. The email will look something like this:
The biggest change from our previous travel/training approval system is at mentors no longer need to log in to approve travel. When you click the link in your email, you will go directly to your approval form.
Additionally, you can now ask for clarification/more information. If you check this box, the request will be re-routed to the fellow to make changes to their form. When they click submit, you will be prompted to approve it again.
2. Find out the status of the request
At this time, we do not have a mentor portal for you to review all requests from your fellows. However, you will receive an email receipt after you submit your approval form. The design is new, but FellowsCentral is always a work in progress. If you have any questions or
see things that might be tweaked, let us know. As we continually finesse the site, we also maintain a queue of updates and enhancements. Please send any enhancement requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
