If you are a participant under the AFPI health and/or dental and vision plan, your benefits will terminate on the final day of employment.  If you received health benefits through AFPI, you are eligible to participate in COBRA and will receive information via the U.S. Postal Service to the address on file with ADP.


After your coverage ends you will have 60 days from that date to elect COBRA.  Regardless of when during those 60 days you elect, the coverage will be effective retroactive to the date after your active coverage ended so there is no gap.  You will be eligible to continue COBRA for up to 18 months (as long as you pay the premiums in a timely manner).
