If you are enrolled in the AFPI medical, dental, or vision insurance plan, your benefits will end on your final day of employment. However, you can continue this coverage through COBRA.
COBRA is managed by Wex, and the cost will be the full monthly premium plus an administrative fee set by Wex. You will receive details about COBRA enrollment and rates via the U.S. Postal Service to your address on file with ADP up to 2 weeks after your termination date. COBRA election and payments are made directly to Wex.
Your benefit coverage ends of your last day of employment with AFPI. After your coverage ends you will have 60 days from that date to elect COBRA. If you choose COBRA during this period, your coverage will be retroactive to the day after your benefits ended, so there is no gap in coverage. You cancontinue COBRA for up to 18 months,as long as you keep up with the premium payments.
