STPF approvals for professional societies and member organization fees from the travel/training stipend must meet these requirements:
- Be affiliated with your scientific expertise
- You must list the dates of the membership
- Full 12 month membership fees will only be approved for first year fellows and renewing fellows through November 30th of their second fellowship year
- Renewing fellows reimbursement will be prorated after December 1st to cover the cost for the remaining months of the fellowship
- Membership fees combined with a conference or training that lowers the cost of registration
- AAAS membership renewal fees are unallowable
